Recently, Ontraport released some cool new features/versions of their 3.0 software. This is their effort to become the all-in-one marketing automation platform leader. And it’s a great step!
But so far, details have been a little sketchy about what features are included in each version of the new Ontraport suite. To date, there is no comparison on Ontraport’s site and there seem to be some confusion even among their own staff.
I’ve done my best to assemble all the features and list them for you below. I’ve pulled this from what I’ve learned in community forums, people who have bought the new versions and from Ontraport themselves. This list is probably not 100% accurate, and I will update it as more information becomes available. But here is what I know.
OntraPAGES vs LeadPages
The newest edition to Ontraport is PAGES. It’s their way to compete head-to-head with LeadPages. Maybe ‘compete’ isn’t the right word – ‘replace’ may be better.
Ontraport is tired of supporting all the technical problems associated with integrating LeadPages and Ontraport. (and for that matter – ClickFunnels and Ontraport) They built PAGES to eliminate the need link a third-party landing page and pop-up system with their platform. No more stripped affiliate codes. No more broken API links. Life is good.
The free version of OntraPAGES allows you to have sign ups emailed to you. For $15/month you can link it to the email system of your choice. Doesn’t need to be Ontraport. The paid version also includes split testing and custom branding. PAGES is a landing page generator only. It doesn’t have any emailing capabilities.

Ontraport Pricing: BASIC vs PRO
BASIC is something the Ontraport community has been asking about for over a year. Ever since Ontraport announced their plans to phase out the SendPepper/OfficeAutoPilot family of products, users have asked about an introductory platform..
Let’s face it, Ontraport pricing of $297/month is steep for a lot of small entrepreneurs who are first starting out. If they had a lower price point to start and grow from, Ontraport may benefit with more customers. The $79/month price point of BASIC is a great way to get started with automation.
It’s a perfect choice for someone just building a list.
The downsides to BASIC… a limited number of contacts, no payment processing, no API, no membership site and no lead scoring. But it gets you into Ontraport and you can grow from there. Easy to bump up to a full PRO account when the time is right and the business can support it.
